Ono Poke - Southlake

As one drives through Southlake, on Southlake Blvd (FM 1709), restaurants abound along both sides of the road, but one you’ll easily miss is Ono Poke. Tucked into the side of a retail strip between a Nutrition store and a Thai restaurant, Ono Poke isn’t flashy or ornate by any standards, but what you’ll find is fresh, flavorful Poke and Ramen that offers both suggested Signature Bowls as well as a build-your-own option, much like you’ll find at the many popular burrito chains.
The Bowls begin with your choice of White or Brown Rice, Greens, Buckwheat or Zucchini Noodles, add a large Variety of Toppings, and then as many as 3 Proteins (more for an upcharge). Both the Spicy Salmon and the Ahi Tuna were extremely good! Add one of several sauces, and I added Seaweed as well, and it’s quite a sizeable portion. Much more than I’ve received at other Poke restaurants in the area.
I had the opportunity to sample the Ramen as well, which is also a large portion, and full of a variety of ingredients and a well-flavored broth.
This is easily my favorite Poke in the area, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. If you like Poke, or Sushi and have never tried Poke, stop in at Ono Poke and let me know how you like it.
