BurgerFi - North Fort Worth

Although BurgerFi seems to get lost in the shuffle of semi-fast food burger franchises in the DFW area, their burgers stand-up to the test versus many of their competitors.

Promoting that they use only top natural Angus beef that is free of added antibiotics, hormones or steroids, the quality of the meat is noticeable. They also offer a waygu beef patty for those wanting to take it to the next level, and also offer a quinoa and a Beyond Beef option.

Having not visited a BurgerFi myself in a few years, I had to go back to refamiliarize myself with their flavors, and I really don’t know why I stayed away for so long. The flavor in the burger is clear and the toppings add great, original flavor without overwhelming the taste of the meat. On my recent trip, I ordered the CEO, which is a double-patty waygu and brisket blend topped with candied bacon-tomato jam, truffle aioli and aged Swiss. Very aristocratic flavors to be sure.

Also of note, among the specialty burgers, are the SWAG – a double waygu and brisket blend with charred jalapenos, candied ghost pepper bacon, sweet tomato relish, pepper jack cheese and hot steak sauce, and the Breakfast All Day Burger – an angus beef patty with American cheese, maple syrup, fried egg, hash browns, grilled onions and ketchup.

The fries are well above average by themselves, but you can also get them kicked-up with the addition of your choice of decadent toppings such as “Cajun style” or “Urban style”. “Urban” includes their truffle aioli, parmesan cheese and a mix of herbs, and really takes the fries to another level.

If you haven’t had enough decadence for one meal, there are also several shakes and concretes to choose from. Flavors like: Maple Bacon, Red Velvet, Banana Churro and Caramel Fudge Bar.

For those that want to enjoy these flavors absent of the gluten, BurgerFi also offers all their burgers without bun or “greenstyle”, wrapped in lettuce.

If you have little ones, there is a kid’s menu, which includes hot dogs, grilled cheese and chicken tenders, along with a kid’s burger.

Pricing is a bit high compared to standard burger chains, but right in line as compared to other specialty burgers. Burgers range from $7.50 - $10.99. Fries are an additional $3.99 with the add-ons ranging from $.59 – $1.69 extra, so if you don’t mind paying a little extra, BurgerFi offers a high-quality, unique burger option.
